NEED SAMPLIN HELP 4 MPC badly

I See Alot Of THreads On Here, And It Seems To Be Very Helpfull//Freindly, So Heres Tha Deal, I Need Help On Sampling, Is Their ANY sites//threads already out that gives STEP BY STEP sampling on tha MPC 2000 XL

Because, One Of My Friends Say That I Shuld Jus Start Out Like:

1. HOLD and PRESS : SHIFT 4 ((sample))

Then From Their I Have No Clue Where 2 GO?? Like, I Have a Turntable ((GEMINI XL 100)), But I dunt Know Where Tha Cords Are Suppose 2 Be ON Tha Mpc..... An If I Shuld Be Recording from "DIGITAL" or "ANALOG" on tha MPC???

PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz, IS Their Anyone THat Can Help With This Problem??? If So, Itll Be GREATLY APPRECIATED.....

rca from turntable to mixer or preamp then from there to input of mpc. You need to be on the analoug source unless using digital cables which you are not. Start the record and slowly turn up the rec volume untill you see the level in the mpc reach about 80 percent and then press record. It will record for 10 seconds unless you change the setting time. After that choose keep and trim / edit from there. I would suggest downloading the 2k manual from the akai site www.akaipro.com because you seem really lost.
