how should i deal with the manual?

just got the 1k and there's a lot i still need to find out, so what would you experienced users recommend me: a) read the whole manual before i start anything or b) start makin some beats and stuff and look up the things i don't know when it's necessary?

But then when you've got some spare time read through the manual from front to back too.

A little tip though, dont read through it in bed, you'll want to jump up, switch your setup on and try something you've just read about!

Why is their even a choice invloved here. Get your moneys worth and do EVERYTHING you can to get into your machine.

Depends on the person i suppose. I find being intuitive and trying to dig into it myself first helps me better and i get more out of it.

Then when i reasd up on stuff i'm not sure about i cover all bases anyway

i think "samplekings" have a video for the 1k... im not sure what the video entails, but it is something you can look into..

i think you can find it on ebay..

You wanna learn don't you? All of the above plis D.) memorize the danm thing! Usually I've read the manual before I even buy a piece of gear....then I use it as a users guide once I've bought it, and then it becomes a reference guide.....my "reading room" always has a manual or three in it and it's been months since I copped a new piece....
