Off the top of my head, I can't give you any specifics but most of the so-called professionals (people that do this for a living) use computers/software for remixing....oh, I can give you one example..Kanye and his team of engineers use Pro Tools and/or Logic for re-mixing.
Other software....Digital Performer, Nuendo/Cubase, Sound Forge, Wavelab, Sonar, Bias Peak, Ableton Live, Acid, Giga Sampler, etc
