Distortion Pedals

Does anyone recommend a pedal to grime up the sound? a real dirty sound is required.

I've been playing the electric guitar for some years now, so i got several recommendations for you:
if you really wann f*** things up you should stick to the boss mt2 (~100$) but if your budget is not that high you can mess things up with the danelectro fab distortion which costs not more than 20 bucks new.

if you wanna go high end there are several tube distortion pedals from reußenzehn, electro harmonix and soldano but these are .. u know.. quite expensive ^^

cheers, one of the guys on Ninja tune uses a cheapo pedal and it sounds phat how about some of this and some nachos?

i'm not sure but a tone knob or some other kind of equalizer could be quite helpful .... thats why i'd go for the mt2 if you got the money, it has 4 knobs just for the tone control.

Word! and you KNOW BBE's products are tight! So I'm looking to buy the entire line of pedals. I think some online retailer might be selling them as a complete package (either that, or I was dreaming... gotta check. ).
I can't wait to buy another guitar again. It's been a minute. I need a bass too. I enjoy playing both, and it's time to merge them into some experimental sh!t that I've been slowly piecing together.
