Ok, now I dont have a turntable or nothing, so all of my sampling is digital. I use Adobe Audition to sample, and I sample from mostly CD's, or DVD's...
Ok, so I went to the library today, and I went to the CD section. They had a great selection, at least 500 albums that I would NEVER think of sampling off of. They had alot of abstract stuff from all over the world. Alot of rock, blues, and classical. Now the first one I saw that caught my eye was a John Coltrain album they had there. I knew about him, cause I recently made a beat off of some samples of him. So I picked that up, then I saw this other CD...
after I got it I came home and looked it up on the internet, this is the CD...
The CD
Now im a Hip Hop Head, so this aint the kinda stuff I swing for, Shoot, I mean this is a greatest hits for music that was made before my grandpa was born! but I thought... "I bet this has some real raw samples, that are uncommen, not only all gritty, but they are instruments that no one really has." And I was right, this CD has 23 tracks, and each one is from a different country in the world... Shoot some of the country's I have never even hered of! Anyway, right now im digging some of the best samples ive ever hered. Now I know you shouldnt tell other people where you get your samples an stuff, but I dont really care for right now. I have already ripped both CD's to my HDD, so when im done sampling, im gonna take em back, and get like 10 more!
Plus its free to rent CD's at my library.
Now is that a diggers dream, or what? 8)

so many retarded things in that post. john coltrain isn't anything rare, especially if its on a CD. ethnic music has been sampled for a while now so u late on that. if its on a cd, it aint gritty. country's you've never heard of, you should study some more then. "hered" is spelled heard. and you dont "rent for free"

Well, you are not only a douchebag, but YOU are a retard.
I never said John Coltrain is rare, I just said I recognized him, and thats why I got him. Shoot I never said I even sampled off him. You need to cop that hooked on phonics. Also Ethnic music may have been sampled from for a long time now, but I highly doubt many people have sampled from a track made in 1920 from Rajahstan. Also it is gritty as hell. It's more gritty than most 45's ive hered. In fact on the back of the CD case it even says that thease songs are a compilation of very old songs found on rare 78's, and that even though they have been remastered, the sound quality is not pristine. If you dont believe me that they are gritty, I will upload a sample for you.
So in conclusion...
Children before you attempt to be a smartass douchebag at least get ONE fact staight.

Take the plank out of your eye before you try to remove the twig out of your neighbors eye.
