MPC 2500 frozen transport

I really hate to start this thread since it only happen once...but I guess is should be reported.

I sampled some records and chopped the samples in the MPC (OS 1.21). When I went to go record a sequence, the Play and Play Start didn't work. I could press the two record/overdub buttons, which would light up. But, it wouldn't let me record a sequence. I just turned the MPC off and then on again...and everything is well.

I've had the same thing, it's happened twice and i've had to turn the MPC off and on again to solve it.

Strange. Not much else to say as i cant pinpoint it to anything.

I've also had this problem.

I thought I'd located cause, which was trying to use MTC sync in (slave). I reported it in the relevant thread there. Do you have any Sync IN options on?

When this happened last night, I was doing nothing more than sampling off some records. I had no sync options on.

To be honest I haven't given it a thorough testing, but frozen transport was the original reason I went back 1.20. I only installed 1.21 yesterday to test the MTC sync again, and I haven't had a chance to play with it any further.

Definately a confirmed bug though... as Spirez said, it seems to need a reboot to fix. At least you can save your song first.

Wow..is all I can say.

I won't vent that much ( ) since I was able to save my work. I am glad that I don't do this for money because it would be embarassing for your gear to fail in middle of a paid session...

By the way...damn..I just heard a hot sample off of a record I bought yesterday

yeah ive had it. but using midi. so i just thought it was my midi instruments getting a bit bogged down. power mpc on /off fixes.
