I thought I'd make an easily searchable hidden screens topic for the MPC1000. I only have a couple which I've found through reading other people's topics. Here they are:

Pad Sensitivity Adjustment Screen:
Hit Mode and then press Other. There is a hidden screen when you press Shift and the F4 key at the same time.

Custom Boot Screen:
Hit Mode and then press Other. Press F3 to reach the Footswitch screen, then press F6 to get to the “Owner Name” screen.

If you have anymore, please post them up and share the knowledge!
peace

good look on the custom screen

Pad and Q-link test screen:
Boot Memory Test: Hold PLAY while booting.
Reset Boot:
MPC1000 developers screen: (saw this twice but forgot how to recreate)(I remember it even has "Starring: *yourname as entered in custom boot*)

Question: do the sysex commands from the 2kxl work on the 1000? trying to get a sequencer to do this, but if anyone can post a quick answer it'd be nice...

"Boot Memory Test:"

Aren't you referring to holding PLAY while turning on?

As far as the Pad Sensitivity screen, I would not alter it since the sensivity is factory set (note the interface under the memory access cover). Lose the settings and they are gone.

my pad defaults were all at "5"...had to hit the thing with a hammer to get a full scale 127..."1" is much nicer...I can always go back to 5 if I want.

my pads were all different too! But good lookin on the tip! Until now I've just been using full level because I wasn't feeling the pad sensitivity, and I didn't even think of HMMM how can I change this. Think I may need to go back and redo some beats Ya'll! And I'm lovin' seeing my name when I load up my MPC. It makes me feel so damn special! Ha Ha Ha

My pads 12 and 15 are messed up as well. I hadn't noticed it until you guys mentioned it. Does any one think this happened when you upgraded to OS 1.03. I don't have time try loading up an old OS but I will try later this week when I have time.

I haven't upgraded to 1.03 yet. My pad values are also all over the place.
