Hey all,

I'm having issues converting small sequences strung up in the Song Mode list. It won't convert properly to one new longer sequence.

The problem: missing tracks/layers in new converted longer sequence.

The string of smaller sequences play fine in song mode though.

Has anybody dealt with this?

Havent hada chance to try this out yet.

But the tracks that are getting missed out - are they MIDI or DRUM or both?

I don't use MIDI mode as I do all my production internally on the MPC at the moment except for the importing of samples via turntable

i think i know what youre talkin about and i think it has to do with how you set up your programs for each track. i wish i knew how to explain it better cause im new to this sh*t but read up in the manual about converting song mode to sequences, i know it covers what im tryna explain cause i had a similar issue doin that too. sorry if im absolutly no help man i hope someone will come along and add to what im sayin.

Maybe something to do with this?

Also, if you're using muted tracks in your sequences you need to select the 'ignore muted tracks' option when you go to convert.

is the same tracks used in each sequence have the same info on them .....like sequence1 track1 kick and sequence2 track 1 kick....if the tracks are lined up like that u should be fine but if u have for example ....sequence 1 track 1 kick and sequence 2 track 1 hi hat or a midi instrument .... u might have a problem when converting your sequences into song mode........

That seems to be the problem BUT not the solution

My situation (here's an example, I hope you understand what I'm talking about):
SEQ1, TR1 sample TR2 drum
SEQ1 COPIED to SEQ2
SEQ1 COPIED to SEQ3
SEQ2, deleted TR1 so only drum track is left
SEQ3, deleted TR2 so only sample is left
Arranged list in SONG MODE
CONVERT SONG1 to SEQ4
Used no MUTES

Problem: All I hear is drums in new SEQ4

I tried IGNORE MUTED TRACKS with no luck

I will try again, could be user error and I was working pretty late.

Could you guys try what I did and see if you get the same results?

Thanks for all your help.
