Snare Removal from Samples?

I find some great samples, my problem is I cannot get the snare down or reduced enough, I've tried flipping thru the filters, but I'm not very proficient with it, anyone have any ideas to get decent results on snare removal or atleast a nice reduction so I can cover it up

i don"t know if i got your question but if reducing means somethin like 'less loud' than u do that with your mixer (external or mpc mixer)! or for sample there are several parts where u can set level!
probably its this one! go to prog. mode > edit 1, there where you can set filter, res, ... u find a field below where u can reduce db of the sample!

well if you cant cut it out of the loop in trim for a reason, one way would be to use the q link sequnece set to volume/cutoff and try to hit it down wheres the snare comes in then resample.. dunno if its that practical depens on whats in the loop and usually you'll get a gating effect, sometimes its just cool sometimes its just not what you want to do.. good luck

One Fade out the snares in the loops

Two apply silence on the snares

Three paste a hi hat on the spot that the snare used to be.
