Just erase the samples you're not using.... Check the manual for details.

Bro, you really sound like you don't need to even bother with this. There are NO files on the 2MB memory stick until you place them there. Samples are placed onto the memory by loading samples from a disk (floppy, zip, hard drive, card reader, etc.)

There are tons of tutorials - some are even video tutorials. SO get real.

A static free cloth and some soapy water should clean that memory right up.

Not correct, there can be files there he didn't load himself, that is if the mpc got autoloading configured, then it will load samples/songs from disk when it boots.

^You mean from the floppy disk?
I've never seen this feature in my 2000. Can you explain more.
