chopped samples

i havw an mpc 2000xl & im kinda stuck on assigning them to pads i dont want to create a program i want to send them to pads can u help me ?

Ok,,so you want to spread it accross the pads?..or what?...I think on the 2000 you have a zoning feature for that in the trim mode. For me on the 1000 when you spread it accross the pads you have to create a program. Think of the program as "A box of sounds" ,,in this case the chopped peices of the sample. You use this program then as a track. Then the button presses you use in the track are recorded in the sequense along with the other "programs"...

So..programs="box o sounds" then the programs used to make tracks create a sequense

a group of drums for example would be a program...this is no different

Sending sounds to pads=programming
