2500 and Sysex

Does anybody else uses their MPC 25k to store synth patches via Midi Dump? Whenever I try to do it, the MPC reacts kinda freaky.

I got my Virus hooked up via midi in & out, and press "record" on the MPC before I hit "store" on the synth. The dump starts, but the playback of the MPC freezes at some point but starts running again after bar 3 or so. It seems as if the dump works, I just wonder if there is some kind of MIDI feedback loop which causes this behaviour.

Any suggestions what I might be doing wrong?

but you could try disconnecting everything from midi except your virus (just midi in), then try again.

or

are you on the latest OS? as there are tons of midi bugs / issues with it. try falling back an OS and then try it - maybe.

ok, there are some issues.

tons is an exageration doncha know. i mean how would you have tons? its a weight.

is it even possible to do a midi dump with the 2k5? I didnt think you could do that with the mpc.
