advanced midi question

my prolblem is that i want to hook up more then 2 keyboards to my mpc 2000xl. i also have Reason that im tryin to slave to my mpc's sequencer. right now i own an M-Audio Midisport 4x4 but im wonderin if there is software or even with the Motu MTP if its possible to say MPC MIDI 1A comes from triton channel 2 and MPC MIDI 2A comes from Reason Channel 1. Best case would be that there is a software that can route the channels on my midisport. I mainly concerned if its even possible to mix the 16 midi channels like that or does it only route each cable (of 16 channels midi channels). thank you to anyone that can shed some light on the situation.

i finally got my mpc to sequence using reasons sounds im just having one small technical difficulty. what can i do when im using my triton to control reason and my mpc to control reason and my triton and i wanna record a track using my triton to control reason, im hearing the triton sound and the reason sound at the same tim do u think i must have a dedicated controller keyboard for reason?

you need to just turn down the volume in which ever one you dont want to hear

Keyb's like the Triton usually have a setting called "LOCAL ON/OFF" for that purpose. LOCAL OFF lets the keyb. send out midi without triggering its own sounds.

Or, there might be a Multitimbral "multi" or "performance" mode on the triton where you could set one of the voices to be blank.. .meanwhile the other voices could be receiving/playing notes on another midi channel.

..or yeah, it might be quicker to just turn down the volume.
