They are both very easy and will bring you much joy, try both and see which is easier for you.

But please don't stick to one or the other, do both and try everything, get the most outta your machine. Don't always go the easy route.

What are you looking for soundwise? Thats the question you have to ask yourself. After you know what you want, or realize you don´t know what you want you could start trying different methods out.
I suppose you have both a record and CD player, mess around with them and see what fits you. There´s no objective right or wrong or better or worse when it comes to this. Different people feel different styles and methods.

yeah ok, this is just an open discussion anyways. so how would y'll go about editing, if there's popping coming from the record

it depends on the sound you're going for...cds will come off a little cleaner...records come off a little more human, with pops and sounds from the record. it's like digital vs. analog.

i use the hard wall eq( the top one) and it usually can get a sparkiling high while taking the pops and hiss... or use a lowpass, u just gotta try diff. stuff and do wat sounds good.

It's a preference issue. A subjective question. I sample vinyl. Why, cause it's cheap. I think it sounds better as well. But if you want clean, a cd is easier to get a nice, clean sound with. Another thing though, you can get so much vinyl that was never released on cd's. Meaning, you are less likely to sample the same song. Not that most of us don't have a record someone else does but it is pretty much impossible to find a cd that is rare, when dealing with not so obscure music.

Try both vinyl and cd's........where ever u can find an ill sound use it...
