I'm lookin to get an s950 to sample my drums. I was wondering if it was possible to sample THRU the s950 into Pro Tools.

For instance, I'd go out of my 1200 into the s950, out of the s950 into Pro Tools.

I want to achieve the sonic quality of the s950 in my drums, thats the whole reasoning behind this. But I want the user friendly chopping of Pro Tools.

If thats not possible, how can I export samples out of the s950? And what format are they exported as?

Thanks in advance for any info! This will def help me make my decision on buying one of these bad boys.

PEACE

Good old manual labor is the only way to do this if you are using Windows XP or Mac. If you have a Windows 98 computer you can use Adisk to copy the samples to your PC as wav format then copy to another disk for import into Pro Tools.

surely you could just sample into the 950 from the technics, then playback the sample in the 950 whilst at the same time recording in pro tools?

i think he was asking if you could sample thru the 950 to protools in real time to dirty up the sound. The answer to that is no.
