Sup yall
I finally got my MPC1000 after a week long struggle with DHL shipping.
But I am having trouble uploading the os 2.10
It shows up on the mpc but I go to load push do it but nothing really changes and I rebooted it and the os is still 1.07. I used the search but I didnt really find any help. So.... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

put the new OS into your CompactFlash card, put that CompactFlash card in your MPC1K. Hold down the "Window" key/button while powering the 1k on. Should work.

download OS V 3.0 beta 16 and just open it in your MPC.

OR, download the installation instructions for 2.0 from akai. they are in the same spot that you download the OS.

well
the mpc says that the 2.10 is on the system, but it says the current os will load in 5 secs but NO Dice. It has been a good 2 or 3 hours and nothing. I downloaded the 3.0 but a blank yellow screen. THe window button is lit but thats for show I pushed that nothin. I followed the directions to download. And I can't load the 3.0 bc it wont go to the main screen.
Is there a emergency default button or something this is ridiculus.lol ...:?

How to update MPC1000
1. Insert CF with OS data into MPC1000
2. Turn the power on while pressing down the WINDOW button
3. Press the REC button- the MPC1000 will start processing the update and will then re-boot automatically with the new OS

Have you tried to adjust the display contrast ?

And try another CF card, or at least copying the OS over to the same card again, maybe somethings broken with the file or card.
