how do you use vst's with the mpc 2000 xl

i bought a usb to midi cord for fruity loops so that i could use vst's and that worked but i tryed to hook up the same m-audio uno usb to midi, to my mpc i just bought off ebay i also have 4 midi cords and a keybord controller. Would i need to buy something new

If you just want to use your pc for VSTi's and use the mpc as your sequencer. Then you should get Steinberg V-Stack

so i can hook this v stack up to my pc and connect it to my keyboard controller or connect it straight to my mpc useing midi from the sound card

vstack is a vst host
it loads vsti's
just midi your pc to you mpc and start making sound

or cop nuendo or cubase sx... in that way ur able to record the tracks seperate and mix it. Just my 2 cents

yeah but with nuendo or cubase it is not possible to use multiple vst instruments from an external midiinterface (output from your MP)
you always got to have your "channel" with vsti in record mode'
and vstack is only 50 bucks

i agree on the 50 bucks..

but i CAN use my mpc with nuendo AND multiple vsti's / channels.. I don't see what would be the difference.. just set up the midichannels in the proper way...
Nuendo could be hard to set up, but it works like a charm for me. I use a b4 organ, arp 2600 & some other vsti's. All at the same time or solo.
