transfering a song you made too computer

how do you transfer a song too the computer and format it too mp3? thanks

anyone? i don't want too leave my mpc on all day, i really dont want too lose this song i was workin on....i don't have a upgraded memory so yeah....that kinda sucks right now,im pratically stuck....i have cooledit, is thier a way i can record it too that? thanks

save the entire memory to a folder that you have created and then you can turn your MPC off.

songs don't just go from the MPC to the PC.

you have to record them via soundcard or midi interface.

you can resample the whole beat in record mode by changing it to MAIN OUT and pressing play but that will only get you 1 minutes worth of beat.

so what would you recommend i do? buy a midi interface? if so, what would i have too look into...thanks,..

You don't need a MIDI interface for that. Just plug your MPC into your soundcard and record with the program of your choice.


And yes, you can actually save your project and turn your MPC off. You should really take a closer look at your manual, Jimmy, with all the basic questions that you ask.

unless u have ram, then u can sample ur whole song into a wave file

sorry, i guess i'll just stop asking such stupid question...my apoligies..

well, i mean, you gotta know that you can save beats on there right?

if you want to use your PC interactively with the MPC you will probably want a midi interface. i.e. if you wanted to use Reason for sounds, or sync up with cubase.

you can run the audio out of the MPC into a regular sound card but your quality may be iffy depending on the sound card.

personally, i have an 8 track recorder that i record my beats to.

there are many ways of getting your music on to a cd.

i just got the mpc 2000, do i need the 8 outs to get my beats on the comp, or can i use the midi ins/out on the mpc and connect it to my midi interface and do it that way??
