Cannot eject volume

Hi, ok when i have done copying samples to the mpc from my pc i go to click "eject drive" and nothing happens so i do it again and it says:

Cannot eject volume

a problem was encountered trying to eject removable disk ( I: )


since my mpc thinks it's still connected it wont let me get away from the usb page so i have to turn the mpc off !

anyone else have this problem ?

i've seen this problems to.
just pull the USBplug from the mpc and it will go back to normal

If you have downloaded and installed the unofficial V3 beta operating system - mentioned elsewhere on this board - then I do believe USB cable can be left attached. If, however, you have not downloaded and installed V3 beta and are still using an official Akai OS - 2.1 or below - you will need to disconnect the USB cable immediately after use in order to avoid problems.

thanks off to do that now.

Also , you have to make sure you close all programs that are accessing the drive , like explorer and stuff . if you don't close those programs you'll have problems ejecting the drive.
