i was reading and it seems that ppl like OG over re-issues. Whats so bad (or should I say different) about re-issues?

sorry if this question is lame, but im new to all this sampling and vinyl stuff...

I remember i had to ask that same question not too long ago, and as it was told to me, is that reissues generally don't sound quite as good as the og's. However, this is dependent upon the quality of the company doing the reissue so some sound closer to the originals than others. And lastly most people prefer og's because from a collector's standpoint, they are worth more.
