connecting software, m-audio, mpc1000

i was wondering if thier is a way too connect my mpc1000 to flstudio. I have a m-audio oxygen 8 controller and i wanted too use the synths and vsti's on FLstudio. thanks

you mean use the mpc as a controller or as a module? you can do both. just chain the midi i/o's.

naw, i want too use the synths in FL and play them so they can record onto the mpc. just like a motif rack, but instead of the rack it's my computer with all the synths. I came up on a korg legacy package and i wanted too use the synths on there since it's pretty good.

So you wanna record the midi data into the mpc? or the actual audio? you can do both. hook your midi controller to input on mpc.. then mpc output to computer.. then you can record the midi data and control fl from both your mpc and keys. thus allowing you to sequence your fl synths in the mpc itself. and if you wanna record the computer audio output well just hook that to the mpc's analog in.

so basically controller piano "midi in" to mpc, the mpc" midi out" too computer? do i need some kind of special wire too do that? i also want too transfer my mpc songs too the computer. and another thing, when i load up all my samples and memory, it says "pgm maxed out 24" or something, whats does that mean? thanks

prgm maxed out means that you have too many programs loaded, or you filled the maximum amount of programs that it can hold, which is 24.

yeah regular midi cables from midi keyboard controller into your mpc.. then regular midi cable from your mpc into your computer. To transfer your songs from mpc into comp you have to do it "live". meaning you can either track it all out or you can do it all in one go recording it live.if you mean moving the data from mpc to computer hard drive you need zip,floppy,card reader,hotdog etc etc.. peep the manual.

I have a 2gb flash card, wouldn't it hold more than just 24 pgms? and about that midi too computer, what does the connecter have too be too connect too the comp? somebody told me about a midi interface, which i have no idea what that means. Can't i get a midi to usb? like the mps has the midi out too a usb too comp. thanks liquid, you helped me out alot

what that means is the MPC can only LOAD a certain amount of programs at once. you can put however many you want on card but the mpc itself can only have a certain number of programs loaded at a time.

to hook the midi from mpc to comp will need some type of midi IN on your computer with either a soundcard or a midi usb interface. try zzounds.com. if all you need is midi interface you can get it really cheap. but if you dont have midi in on your comp already you may wanna get yourself mid-lvl soundcard like the e-mu 1212m or the like.
