might b a stupid question, but how do i save drum programs??

hey guys.. have my MPC for about a week, and still cant figure this out...


once i load up all my samples and arrange them on pads the way i like it, how do i save that so i dont have to reload the samples individually .. i think its called a "Program" on the other MPCs, but im not sure....


please help!!!

Don't you have a manual or you can download a manual (my useful links thread below you can find one).

Find the save/load chapters, read up on the different save.load file types and what they are for, then you'll know everything you need to know about what to save and how to save it.

in the program edit menu(program/sounds->1), set the name to what you want, then goto disc->4 "save program". if you cant figure out something, just use your intuition. its not that hard, when the buttons already say, "DISC", "PROGRAM/SOUND", ETC... just go thru all the submenus and use the "HELP" button. press all the buttons and see what is where. once you learn, your fingers will be flying..

edit: rrr i thought you were talking about 3k... but 60 isnt that different. dont be afraid to push those buttons. it wont blow up.

I thought you only had "programs" in OS 3.10 in the 60?

im not afraid to press buttons.... but there is no Programs in my disk menu

Is there a "set"?

If so, do you know what that type of file is?

but i cannt find no sets, or programs or anything....

Isnt it in all programmes? Theres one save on there that saves your sounds, and your programme.(6?) Then i usually save the whole seq, song <-- option 2 i think.

That way when you load it up, with the disk in there, it will load your song, programme, and sounds, just hit play and it will go.

on mine its
DISK

1 save a sequence
2 save all seq / songs
3 save a sound
4 save all sounds
5 save parameters
6 load/rename/erase
7 format a disk
8 copy a disk

Maybe 4 + 5... Not sure on your OS
