ayo whats good people. i called up my local music store and they said the minute i put a hard drive in the mpc it voids the warrenty so if a pad or a knob falls off or something dont call em. i was wondering is it possible 2 use an external usb drive with the mpc 1000?

you can't use an external usb-hd with your mpc 1000. you need an internal hd. full stop.
and how could pluggin something on the mpc's usb-port void the warranty...?

hm, the mpc is made for the use of internal drives, and akai itself sells the gear to mount this drive. so i think there won't be any warranty problem with using an internal hd...
