Hi everybody,

I got a MCP 2500 and trying to transfer my sequences. I saved 'em down seperat as an mid. file and tryed to load them. After loading the sequences are much longer then they where on the 2000. With an sequence by 112 beats the 2500 says, to many beats - over 999. Also Tracks are changed.
Does anybody have a solution to transfer the sequences from 2000 to 2500.

Thank you, Jürgen

Try saving the 2k seq as "seq".

Try saving the 2k seq as "mid" (file type 1 contains seperate tracks, use type 1)

Hi again,

I don't know how to safe a seq.file with the MCP2000. There's only mid.file type 0 or 1 available. I tried mid.file 1. When I load it with the 2500 it say file to long, - more then 999 bars. The sequence has 112 bars.

How the hell did you end up with a 112 bar sequence?

Don't answer that cause you might give me a 112 sentence answer.

"There's only mid.file type 0 or 1 available."
Nah man, isn't there a limit, like 99 bars max in a seq?

You are over 99 bars per seq. You need to fix that.

Sequences arent usually that long.

You make a BUNCH of smaller sequences w/ change ups, breakdowns, intro, outro, incline, decline and whatever else you like, then you go into song mode and you chain them all together.

save each seq.
save all pgm's.
save samples.

Take them all over to the 2500, that's what I would do.

Hi Lampdog,

ok, ok, don't beat me. I didn't know that a mid.file has a 99 bars limit. I have a few of this sequences by using "convert song to squence".
Okay, I tooked a shorter one. The 2500 loads it, but Track 1 is missing, it starts with track 2. Any Idea for this too?

Thank you, Jürgen
