If you are max'd out in memory 32mb then do what you do..........
either mono or stero.......When I first started I didnt know any better and when I sampled I was killing the 10.9 seconds of memory I had......A good friend of mine told me to sample in mono on the left because it carried more detail and because that would save me sometime to load other stuff.......I guess I can say its always been a force of habit.......I am max'd out now.....but check this out........
Sample both ways and tell me what you hear????
If you sample in mono and you play it back you will hear it in both ears or speakers.......
If you sample in stero and play it back you will hear it in both ears as well
So in my words the only difference to me is the size of the wav when you save it.......
If the sample is lets just say 860kbs in mono it would be 1720kbs in stero.....meaning it will use more space to save
