WTF!!!! @ MY 2000XL

So today I decidec to back and finish some beats i never finished.


But when i re-loaded my PGMS and my .ALL much to my dismay...my shit was DISTORTED!!!!


WTF!!!!



I went into trim to check out my .wav...and yes....Nothing but fuzz within the first second of my sample.


White noise basically.




This happened to NUMEROUS BEATS...Only a couple were left untouch.




What could this have been?

have no idea. damn

Did anyone have access to your gear? I mean anyone, b/c someone could have fugged some stuff up whether intentional or not.

Once a long time ago my brother accidentally initialized my DR-5 by just turning it on and pressing random buttons. I thought it was broke, but before I could return it to the store he fessed up. He claimed he was trying to make a beat.

You stored your disk in and or near:

A. moisture
B. heat
C. magnets
D. direct sunlight

So, that would be a hard lesson learned.
No way to save your stuff if that's the case.

A cool dry dark place would be the safest
place for long term storage of magnetic media (floppy disks, flash cards, zips, jazz, ditto's, etc.).

I left it in my MPC for about 2 weeks...SD card.

So in 2 weeks of idleness, your card has become corrupted somehow.
(pretty scary since i almost always leave my card in the reader slot)

Don't know if you tried this or if it will even make a diff, but copy all the files off of your CF card to your pc. Then try to copy the files to another CF card if available. Try to do 1 and see if it helps.

seems you gave the MPC one too many Blow Backs , youve stoned the card, try feeding it some salt......failing that check your leads are taped well and your MPC is behind a surge protector !

i suppose you dont leave the card in NOW!!!

Co-sign like a mutha. My cf cards stay in the MPC's reader and only come out if I need to transfer samples from or to my PC. Never had any trouble with it.
