so I traded my 1000 for a 60

yes, i just got my hands on a 60 about a month ago (i use the 2000 primarily) and i gotta say the thing is a beast, i love it, and it sounds great.

It is relevant. It should already be understood that the user is competent when talking about gear. I'm not saying it'll do magic in just anybody's hands. I'm talking how much the workflow and feel of the machine can help out an already established user. Easier to put your ideas down= better music.

wrong, the xl doesnt comes with the optionals, but with more features,like slicing, autochromatic assign,opportunity to install a multicard reader etc...

wrong...easier to put down ideas only equals to being able to put your ideas down easier...It doesn't make your music any better if you're able to put them down easier because you could suck at making music anyways...

For me man, that's the farthest I'll go back in technology while still having all the options that I like and crave.

It was never about what sounds best, it's about being comfortable producing with the options and gear, alot of dudes/dudettes wanna go back to mpc60, that's cool for them and maybe they are comfortable with that, I'm not, and I wouldn't pick that machine when going that far back in technology.

If you are making MUSIC, it should ONLY be about what sounds BEST. Best is highly subjective of course.
