Did you read my post about that in the 3.0 bugs thread?
I can understand why the ON and OFF terms can be confusing but, like i said, it should correspond with the setting in MAIN (Mute ON/OFF).
Otherwise you'll read "ON" in the MAIN screen and "OFF" in the TRACK MUTE screen.

so basically

in posting bugs on the bug report page of the JJ's homepage,
add a "PLEASE, MTC" at the end of every message.

thanks.

has anyone mentioned that when you use the "sliced samples" feature, it forces slices to become mono?...How is this not an issuse with you guys?..It would be so much better if it kept my samples stereo....could someone put this on his site for me?

By ucacjbs Sat Jul 29, 2006 2:31 pm
Err.. why can't you add it yourself?

By spaceaged Sat Jul 29, 2006 2:36 pm
sorryman,,,i wasnt sure how to get there....Plus, ....im afraid what im trying to ask for will get lost in translation...I dont know why the whole "sliced samples" mono thing has not been addressed..

My Japanese also isn't what it used to be
I never use slicing myself but isn't it also making them mono with 2.1?

yea,,the whole mono slicing thing has been overlooked altogether in every os version. I dont know how people didint notice this when they are makin they tracks in the past...i just got mine 2 weeks ago, and its already an issue.

BTW,,i found jjs site, and tried to submit this....more people should do the same so he'll look at it..Just me mentioning this aint gonna change anything.

no no no! that's not a good idea.

and if anyone submits anything to JJ post here and let us know about it!
we don't want to flood the guy's inbox with the same bug coming from 100 other users.. one time is enough, and JJ is doing an excellent job at fixing reported issues and making the OS more stable.. ty

Stokes wrote:An few others, myself included, were not liking the new way the data wheel moved from one sequence to another without waiting until the end of the current sequence. I kept reading JJ's fix's and realized he was saying that you could turn this on or off by hiting the window key in the main screen when the cursor is on the sequence itself. It's called NEXT SEQUENCE: ON - if this is set to on, it will change sequences only at the end of the current sequence.

He's really fine tuning this os now!

good find stokes, I didn't notice this before now!
however when you switch NEXT SEQ to ON it restores the MPC to its original sequence method (I mean it does not allow you to switch to a new sequence just after you recorded a new part, even if you disactivate Recording..).. I wish we can have both. NEXT SEQ ON and be able to switch to a new sequence after recording..

I'm unhappy with the way the mute screen has been changed. When you solo a track you used to be able to return to your previous settings the next time you hit the "solo" key. I had a song worked out where I would solo a track at certain points (for a breakdown bit) then hit solo again to bring the tracks I had selected before back in. I can't find a way to do that anymore so it looks like I might have to regress to an earlier version OS.

read my previous post (page 42), I think that's a bug that will surely be addressed soon..

Yo, as far as stereo samples becoming mono when they are chopped or sliced... this is not an issue with this OS. The MPC1000 has handled chopped samples this way since OS2.1 when slicing was introduced. As much as I would love to have this feature (which would be a nice alternative to extracting the slices individually, which does makes stereo slices), for some reason it seems to be a difficult fix. I really don't understand why though, since you can extract stereo samples... [/quote]

Hope so. Just tried 3.03 and it still works that way. Did you send them a bug report about this already? If not I'll send one.
