n e pad failure?

I was thinkin about cop n one but Does n e one know if the pads are as crappy as the 1k or did they improve this ??

They're just like all the other mpc pad assemblies. 1000 was the only with the janky pads.

It's the same classic feel that we've all come to love about the MP. I don't even think the 1000's pads are all that bad; it's just the size that gets me.

Not all that bad..or not all that good (is the glass half empty or half full). Pretty much saying the same thing. The 1000 is the only Akai drum machine whose pads can break with limited use and needs repairs. I did say the only one right?

klasssick1, there are several MPCs to choose from. You get what you pay for......

... quoting myself, I meant that the 2500's pads are the same classic feel that we've all come to love about the MP. I didn't mean to say the 1000's pads were classic.

C'mon....we all know this major issue with the 1000. It is clearly documented and even made as a sticky on the forum. If no other MPC has this problem, why would Akai build a model that would break under use.

Go to your local Guitar Center and play with their MPC display models. If one is broken, it is most likely the 1000 because the others stand up quite nicely through the years...which is one reason why there is a huge second hand market for those older MPCs.

Well, if that is the case, I would just go out and buy a similar product from a company that isn't POO POO. That's just my take on the subject.

Cowbell, are you still having wet-dreams about the 2500 or any other MPC you have you heart set on? If you are, I feel you. I am still looking for a replacement for my MPC 3000

No wet dreams, never had them (...at least not about a MPC). I got my 'heart set on' music making, with whatever does the job.

Well..I don't believe you. I know you have a stiff one for something better than what you are using.

Me personally, I have always kept 2 MPCs. I only have the MPC 2500 now because my 3000 was defective. So I am looking for a replacment.

Do answer your question directly...if 'Music-PooPoo-Center' is referring to the MPC 2500..hell naw it doesn't have it all! It's a drum machine, it doesn't need to have it all

Actually, its your problem. So unsatisfied with your tool of choice that you loaded an OS (that has even more bugs than the one you had before) just to get some features that are specific to/similar to the MPC 2500

So yeah, you are writing a tall-tale Just buy what you really want; a different MPC model

Jahrome, I take it you dont like the 2500 much.

Its just that you always have mixed feelings about it. You either like it or you dont.

So whats the case?
