I also have the Triton Extreme and 2500. What you are trying to do is simple. On your MPC, you have a field called Type: DRUM. Change this to MIDI. Then change the MIDI: OFF field to MIDI: 1A.

Then on your Triton, select a sound on Track 1 and play it.

thanks man that helped me out...but now im stuck on..when i try to play different sounds from the keyboard over what i played before the sound changes......say im using something from the piano bank....then i want use some drums on top of that...i read the book ..and i don't see anything that say's how i do that unless im overlooking it..
