I don't know....

I just got finished recording a 2 bar loop from my MPC into Nuendo. Nuendo is the Master sending MIDI clock to my MPC. I insert 2 empty bars in my MPCs sequence. When I record into Nuendo, it lines up perfectly. I am using OS 1.21. Are you sure you guys are not missing something?

Disregard...it only appeared to line up correctly.

I recorded the audio, and then sliced the audio using slice tool in Nuendo at each bar. I can hear a short snip of the kick drums I recorded. It does seem to record early...

Confirmed...OS 1.1 MIDI sync is more accurate than OS 1.21.

I never really noticed it since I don't do too much editing on a PC. You will just have to report it to see if they know about it already.

As far as using OS 1.10...its a pain in a butt for other reasons. You can do some editing and it will shut down and reset, causing you to lose work.

Really simple solution, but it works. I had this problem when I was recording audio into Cubase (the master), and my 2500 as the slave. My first few kicks and hats would always be off. I kind of hoped that the pre-clicking of Cubase would sync up with the MPC, but I guess it needs those first few milliseconds to do so. Adding the blank bar is a good workaround, but it sucks when you're in song mode...

shall I make a new post that OS 1.21 HAS BAD MIDI TIMING or should I let people actually read this post?

Bad timing or issues with the MIDI sync?

There are several threads with these/similar issues...including this one...
