MPC Carry bag suggestion for you all.

I'm in the UK and I just got one of these babies (free sample at work) to carry my MPC when I travel up North to a friends house for a few days.

Apologies for the shoddy pic taken on my camera phone just now. Plus the studio is in a mess at the moment. Better pics at the bottom, just wanted to show one with the MP inside.



Just thought I'd do the kindly thing and share the knowledge on this great product really! It's well finished with loads of padding inside and fits the MPC and cables perfectly and there's loads of extra room for other stuff should you need it.

That looks one sturdy bag, in your opinion is it good enough for laptops ? And completely off topic; is that your sp-1200 ?

Yeah man it's a laptop bag! It's quite pricey but it's worth it. Very good quality.

My SP? I wish! A friend has lent me it while he is recovering from an operation. He's had it a few years, went to University and left it at home (didn't wanna f*ck it up/have it stolen), so it hasn't seen any use since he got it really.

To my shame I've not really used it too much yet . Haven't done too much music lately TBH. That should change this week though. Hoping to get something decent done (with MCs and everything) on my travels! Just hope that fricken 8 outs turns up tomorrow.

The SP obviously sounds nice, but that short amount of sampling time is annoying for me after using PC, MPC and an E6400ultra to sample. Gonna try and abuse it a bit before it goes back so don't worry. I think if I owned one, I would mainly use it to run samples through. The MPC suits me a lot better sequencer wise.

Yeah I figured it out already that it was a laptop bag but the main problem with a lot of these so-called laptop bags is that they don't provide enough protection to my liking. Make sure to drop heat on your trip, good luck.

It's a really nice bag and is well padded to protect a laptop.

Here's a good idea when traveling with a big suitcase:

I just got a couple of these bad boys (sort of, similiar, fits both bottom and front of the MPC) : then I strapped them around the MPC with that little rubber band you have in the suitcase, it was sitting on top of all the clothes and BOOM! flew to Oslo from Reykjavík without the MPC gettin' f'd up (and I got a "handle with care" sticker at the airport too)
I didn't have time to get a decent travel case for the MPC so I sh!t-mixed that together and it was a-ok!
