I know the 1000 and 2500 is basicly the same machines, only a few differences in the software. But can the 2500 load "entire projects" from the 1000 or just "SEQ, WAV, PGM, ALL " as stated on akai's website?
And if it can't read entire porjects is the mixer settings stored in pgm or all files?

If anyone made that transition and have the answer i'd really like to know, since i'm quite eager to sell my 1000 & 2000xl and get a 2500...
Or better yet keep my 1000 for travelling and have the 2500 in the studio.

(Ps. did a search on this and didn't find what i was looking for.)

yeh mate, i Upgraded from 1000 to 2500,
sometimes when i load beats from my 1000 backup its like the audio levels are different, maybe something to do that the 1000 had no track volume control( on the os i used) or something like that,

i would have liked to keep my 1000 aswell but $$$$ and i wanted this new baby bad,, guess i will wait till **fingers crossed** a 500 or sumptin drops..

the rep in oz said-- there is something new coming that he aint alllowed to talk about...mmmmm?????

Why would anyone want something worst than a 1000..meaning an MPC 500?

That's what I was gonna say. Just so more kids can cop that one with their lunch money, install a 3rd party OS, then brag about how it's better than the 2500.

Ok so then it can load entire project files but maby just with some minor changes? I'm using os 2.1 so hopefully it will be a smooth transition.
It's kinda annoying that one pad is breaking on my 1000 after just a few weeks, this makes me wanna have the 2500 badly...

Yea that's my plan for today. But it makes me wanna make music without having to stop an glue pads, in other words... getting a 2500 :)
I never had any problems like this with my 2000xl, if it hadn't been for the workflow I never would have switched from that lovley beast!

I agree...but not after having it for a few weeks. I would want a replacement.
