i also have hooked my microkorg up to my mpc1000 and it switches the tempo on my mpc. If i have it on 90 or something when i press record it's like it reads the tempo from the nob and something comes up on my tempo section on my mpc. Whats up with that anybody know.

Does the microkorg have an arpeggiator or other tempo-based function or effects? Is it set to transmit MIDI clock signals?

I suggest you read the manual to figure that out. The only thing I can think is that the Korg is sending a clock signal and the MPC is set to receive external clock, and that's what's causing the tempo change. You could go to the MPC's MIDI page and tell it not to accept MIDI clock signals.

change the local midi setting on the microkorg to ext or auto
