did you read the fine print of where it says that they will be mailed within 12-16 weeks? does that mean by the latest you will get it is 12-16 weeks, or does it mean that the 12 weeks is a minimum wait? not a huge dea since it is free, but damn 12 weeks is a long wait

and wuts the deal with installing stuff on you own? i'm planning on getting a HD and i read somewhere that u may void the warranty if you install it yourself...is this true?

I think that is the longest possible wait time for them to ship the unit out to you, then add the time it takes for the mail to get it to you. I like to think that it won't take that long at all; maybe 3 to 4 weeks, but of course I could be totally wrong about this......we'll see. Like you said it's free so I really don't care as long as it comes!!1
I was very careful with the instructions as I followed them to the letter.
So as soon as I recieve the ram I will post something(If anyone cares).

Well, if you break something installing it, the warranty won't cover it. But if you're fine, nobody will even notice you installed it yourself.

Memory cards are cheap nowadays. they're not as expensive as they used to be.
