I've got a MPC2000XL lika a week ago....The thing is that I don't have a Effect Board/Effect Card.....Can I still EQ my drums and sounds without a Effect Card.....´Cause I can't afford a effect card, I'm nearly broke after buying my MPC2000xl.....

No effect card, no eq, even the filters on the effects card are not great, better to just eq w/ outboard gear for now, ie, mixer, computer audio program.

yea lamps right. if you can afford the 8 outs, maybe cop that and you'll be able to send your sounds to individual outs. then you can use a mixer to eq. or if your able to track out into something, you can eq inside your editor

I just talked to a guy that I know that have been in production since before I was born .....I told him about the effect card and my problems and he said that I should buy a used Akai s2000 sampler....He said that the effect card in that sampler is the same for MPC2000/MPC2000xl.

That I could take the s2000 apart and take the effect card and place it in the MPC2000xl......So I did find a s2000 really really cheap.......

Do you guys think this will work...?

Peace

Of cours it works....

If the FX-card is in that s2000!!!

The EB-16 FX Board was also a option for the s-2000.
Like the 8-Out's too.

You have to look for one with the Bord inside!!

My 8-out Card came from a s2000.
I took it from the metalplate and mounted it
directly in the holes where the jack output's come thru
and fixed it with screws.
The cable was too short, so i took one from a floppydrive or so.

It's mutch cheeper and it work's.

Peace

The effects card should work, and in regards to the 8-outs of an s2000, you have to have it modified to put it into a classic or an XL.
