It does, but most likely it's the wrong bit-rate. Your MP reads 16-bit samples, but the one you're trying to load is a 24-bit. Or perhaps it's wrong type of .wav file.

exactly 44khz 16bit wav files only.

Unfortunately, I've noticed that some computer programs add their own extentions on to the file name - and this is something that you can't see.

I recently discovered that when I "render" audio files in Ableton Live on my computer(this is their way of saying save to wav.)they will not read in my MPC.

Get this: after that I simply opened the files in Audacity, and resaved them as wav.s - they work in the MPC. This tells me that Ableton must be putting something on the wav. file that the sampler doesn't read.

Ableton seems to add shit of its own to midi files as well. At least that's what I heard.
