Unable to create folders on media card!?!?

I just formatted the CF card on the PC as FAT32 and when i insert it into the MPC when im in the load screen it displays 100000 odd k then in the save screen its 0 ?

FAT16 that's what you need NOT FAT32.

Ok so if it formats at FAT32 by default how do I get it to FAT16. I just formating a disk and there was no choice FAT was my only option. Maybe I'm missing somethin...[/quote]

Yeah i right click on the USB drive the only option is either FAT or FAT32 ?


PS: im using XP.

I think im going to have to just install the zip drive again

My guess is that FAT is the actual FAT16.

Thanks guys for your input on the matter, i have tried everything i can think of. Sadly to say im just going to have to re-intsall the trusty ZIP 100 drive.

Hm i wonder if anyone here has this addonics installed I surely didn't cause it says nowhere that it is IISDMC compliant. So it could very well be that your cardreader simply doesnt work with the MPC.

I thought IISDMC was an actual card reader?

Why would you say a card reader made by Addonics is/isn't compliant with another card reader? Furthermore, why would Addonics say that on their website?

Anyone using the Sony Memory stick in their MPC multi card reader? I have a Sony Vaio with a built in memory card slot, but I see that most people say use a Flash card when discusing memory card issues. I'm trying to avoid buying an external card reader for my laptop if possible.
