What tank wrote is the place to get the new OS.

It's free. We don't know if Akai has plans to release any more OS versions for the 1k, or when that might happen (please, I'm not saying that they won't, just that we don't know, so don't start jumping all over me).

Edit: If you'd checked Tank's reply better and followed the links he provided, then you'd see there are 40-odd pages of 'back-up'.

Yeah, this third party OS puts the officially slept on OS 2.1 to shame :!: :!: :!: :!:

There's no turning back for me at this point. If I did, I'd be slappin' stickers on my MPC and my forehead that look like this...

... and that's no bull$hit :!:

yeah, i upgraded too the new os. it's way better. How do you chop smaller than 16 pads? like 8 opads or something. It doesn't have that pop up screen that askes you. And when u adjust the start and end. does it automatically adjust perfectly when u move the toggle? i notice that the shift+toggle don't work....so yeah...if that makes any sense, reply back. thanks

there is a button on the bottom that says "slices" or something. i can't remember what it says exactly but you go to that and can adjust the amount of chops
