OK, I found this tight sample....recorded it into the 1000, chopped it, then I decided to just extract the samples and assign them to pads. I also converted the original sample to patchphrase. I assigned the PP sample to a pad, and tried to record it in a sequence....the pads triggered the sound, but the sequencer wouldn't record it. The same thing happened with the samples I extracted......They would not record....the little signal lights were blinking whe I played the sequence back though.but I couldn't hear anything...I checked the mutes, out put assign, drum/midi feature, midi off/on.....every thing was like it supposed to be......it would play all of the other samples and programs...... hopefully it's something I did, and nit the MPC.

True, but it's all in how they do those things. I find sample and sequence editing to be waaaay easier in the MV/909....than in the 1000. On the other hand, the 1000 is easier to travel with. As soon as I get a PSP(use the MP3 feature for sampling)I'll most likely take the MPC every where I go. I've had the 909 for like a year now, and I can't see me parting with it........The 909 and MV is a viscious combo when midi'd together.....I also have a couple of racks, and keyboards that I midi up to the MV and the MPC. Everything has a purpose bekieve me.

My fault CUZ, I didn't mean it like it read.......it just seemed as if you thought I was WELLIN' or something.....Oh, wellin' means lying...you know....tellin a whale of a tale......it's a DC thing. I take the 1000 to the studio to seqeunce their gear.....they use reason with a couple of keyboards and modules, and I don't really like software based production.....multitracking and editing with software yeah....making beats...naw! like I mentioned to StonesThrow....everything in my joint has a purpose.

and I guess you need that MPC with all that software that does the same exact thing....and on top of that, your gonna add another sampler/sequencer (ASR 10) to the mix.......? it's funny how you're trying to tell me what I don't need, but you are looking to add more gear to your set up...that does basically the same thing  Yooza a wyld MuPHUGGA BOOOOYYY.....Naw! i'm just phuggin withca!!!!!
