Do a search through the yahoogroups MPC3000 forum where you're a member.
There you will find the part number.

Although an old post the info present should at least help you when dealing with VST/AKAI/FORAT to obtain the replacment part.
The actual process of replacing an MPC3000 data encoder is not too difficult.
Change over can be performed easily.
