MPC-INTERFACE question

how do i connect my mpc2000 to my audio/midi interface(m-audio 410) to record my beats onto the computer, i dont have 8 outs by the way

any help please

I know the xl has digital in and out,not sure if the regular 2000 has that, but if it does try that.That audio interface your talkin about only has 2 line inputs,so it might not matter if your MPC does not have 8 outs.

Take the STEREO OUTS to the LINE IN on your soundcard. The XL would only have DIGITAL OUT if it has the 8 outs expansion installed same goes for the mpc2000.

1/4" stereo patch cables. Connect one end from the STEREO OUT of your MPC to LINE IN of your interface.

They are the same option on both, they are not standard.

hey thanks alot it worked but for some reason im gettin alotta clicks and distortion, em i doin some wrong ?

its eitha my interface or computer becuase wen i press record on my program with out hittin play on the mpc i get this buzzing sounds wit pop and clicks, how do i get rid of this?

Maybe grounding/cable/pc noise/emi (electro magnetic interferrence).

That's just off the top of my head thinking. But check into that.

If what Lamp just suggested turns out not to be the problem, make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest m-audio drivers, stop any background programs from running (antivirus, antispyware, automatic updates from windows or any other programs, etc.). If that still doesnt eliminate the problem, check the latency settings on your m-audio interface and adjust them if needed.

Sounds like you may have had that problem before?

Yeah, i've been through all that when i started working with DAWs back in the day. I took alot of time, trial & error, and alot of reading/researching on my own to learn what I know... and I know how frustrating it was back then.

i think its the latency becuase when i tried recording vocals it came out distorted too how should/do i fix that wit my interface i have an m-audio 410
