when i loaded up sum samples

bass, vocal, instrument etc

they all did the same thing

when i hit the pad it played the whole sample out

my question is .....

is there a way to make it so than when i hit the pad it only plays the sample as long as i hold the pad for?????

thanks in advance

read the manual homes

until then, go to program mode, put the cursor on the sample name and hit "window". choose note on or whatever the other choice is called.

then proceed to regain your sanity (i know, at least it drives me nuts REALY FAST, to hear the same sample over and over uncontrollably like that)

also, a handy feature related to this, hit the stop button 3 times fast to stop any one shot samples from playing out

have fun and read your manual

another good thing to mess around with rock is to have a couple of samples that you keep on "one shot" but set the pads to the same mute group.

so you can say play the first one then press the second sample and it will mute the first and visa versa.

ooooh like assign the "off" in the mute group to an empty pad... SMART!!! much better than spazzing out on the stop button - - "click click click click click click click click click "

i used to do that on my boss drum machine and my hr16, i totally forgot, it's been so long..
