problems saving

im not sure if this is a re-post. if it is i apologize!

but im having trouble saving anything to my hardrive. is there another way of getting aound this thing or am i forced to save everything on my CF card?

usb to computer,I'm sure you could save somewhere on computer.

What kind of trouble are you having? If you describe what you're doing now, and how that isn't working for you, then it'll be easier for people to diagnose what the problem might be ...

okay well, after making a beat... i'll go to the SAVE menu, select the "SAVE:ENTIRE MEMORY" feature and then select my HARD DISK to save it in. i would either get a "wrong file name", file already existing, or now the MPC will just freeze on me....

that sounds like some sort of bug, what kind of hard drive are you using?

dont remember what i got. so, do you think that its the hard drive? not the OS? i've have the 2.1 and now the BETA and its the same issue

it could be that the hard drive you bought isn't compatible with the 1k.

nah, i doubt it. i originally installed an old 6gb travelstar made in '99 and that even worked. it was a bit slow and noisey, but it had no problems.

also from what i've read, this bug that occurs in 2.1 has re-occured in 3.04. i'm sure that jj is working these issues out once again.

so as i said before in another thread, it's not a hardware problem. if any of you were following the os 3 beta threads, you would know that.

Are you using seperate folders for your projects? It sounds like you may be trying to save to the root of the HD each time, that would explain why you are told "filename exists".
