SD Card question

Hey guys,

I have a 2kxl with a card reader that takes SD cards, and a laptop that takes SD cards. What i want to do is copy some WAVs from my laptop to the SDcard and load them up on the MPC.

I copy the wavs to the card and put it in the mpc, go to the load screen and select my card but it comes up with strange characters and won't load/select the files. I take it the "FILE SYSTEM" on the card is wrong or something, when i try to format the card on the MPC it says it can't. Anyway i can force a format? or format with the appropriate Filesystem on the laptop etc?

u need to format the card off the mp...holla at me baby...

hmmm bugger, its not letting me do that... I'll give it another try tonight and get more acurate error messages

damn do sd cards also work? those are pretty cheap now...

just depends on what types of cards your card reader takes

Ah got it, it was that the jumper was on the wrong setting on the back of the card reader...

I knoiw, i have a multicard reader, but i thought it would only read cf cards.

... and maybe it does.

Mine has 2 slots, CF down the bottom and SD up top... the one up top takes 3 different types of cards, can't remember the other 2 are but its written on the front.

I think we have the same one. I will cop an sd card today to see. Saw a 1 gb sd card for €25,-!

They are cheap now aye...

I'd get a 512MB just because ppl seem to have trouble with big ones, but i think the 1gb *should* work
