I thought that was Bobby McFerrin. Ironically he killed himself after he released that song.

Well Timeshifting is in fact used to speed up or slow down a sample without changing the Pitch or Keynote or whatever u wanna call it. So its the opposite of pitch-shifting obviously ;) The sample just gets expanded or compressed in terms of lenghth. So it plays faster or slower. When u make it play slower, it does in fact sound natural, because the missing data must be filled up with some type of overlaying reverb or whatever (I'm not an audi-technician, so I cant tell u how it work exactly). It's better to Use if u wann make samples, in terms of sound quality...

But I seldom use it. I stick to the chopping thing. PEACE

there are times when i hate getting ugly with people, but there's times when i love it!!!!
thanks stan. out of all the replies i've read you were the only one that answered a simple question. everyone else's is irrelevant. i mean, i didn't ask anyones opinion about who's everyone's favorite producer & other miscellaneous b.s. that you can keep to yourself cuz i really don't give a f#ck. just state the facts & keep it simple- STUPID!!! y'all nerds really must get a life. :?

786ppq should really be enough oppossed to 960ppq lol! I know its a finer resolution but you have to draw the limit somewhere cuz to a point its hardly relevant to obtain human groove.
