Logic Audio, The MPC, And Me losing my hair...

Hey guys, I hope you can help me out with a logic audio problem that I'm having.

I bought the MPC to use as a reliable live tool, but all of my tunes are in logic and I logic is my main arrangement tool. For the time being, I'm really only using the MPC as a sampler with pads. All midi notes are in logic and the MPC just plays back the sound to my desk. My intention is to compose and master most things in logic, then I want to dump all midi and wavs in to the MPC to use live later on.

Here is my problem. I have created a multi instrument in logic and this gives me 16 tracks in logic for the MPC. I have a song that uses four tracks for parts of a beat (kick, snare, cymbals, hi-hat) and I would now like to add another program in the MPC, to fatten up the beat a bit. But if I do this, it changes the program for the first 4 tracks. In other words, the way I have logic and the MPC set-up, I can only seem to play back one drum program at a time. A friend of mine tried to assign the tracks in logic specifically to a program in the MPC by using AK.sys and midi numbers, but nothing seemed to happen. He got confused and gave up in the end. Said it was nothing like his Akai sampler at home.

So, to wrap up. How can I make logic control the MPC to allow me to use as many programs as possible. Or how can I open up all of the potential of the MPC to work in conjunction with Logic?

Can any one point me in the right direction, or tell me a better and easier way of getting logic to sit in bed with the MPC without the two of them fighting?

ya're really missing out if ya don't use the sequencer in da MPC.

But hey! if ya wanna use it as a sampler, that's up to ya.
Ya gotta hit MIDI and change the routing of the Midi In to go direct to the sampler without goin' thru the sequencer. Ya can route Midi In I to Sampler A (midi channels 1A-16A) and Midi In II to Sampler B (midi channels 1B-16B) so ya can get 32 channels.
Now, create a 16 or 32 parts MULTI and assign yer program part to the midi channels (with the internal sequencer, ya can use 128 parts).
