Black Case ???

Does anybody know if there's a black case availabe for the mpc 1000, like the newer version, the mpc 1k bk and where to buy it?

I'd really like to replace the standard blue/red parts of the case...

Looks like they still don't have it in stock, though. VST are the 'go-to' MPC parts dealer, so if anyone's going to have the black panel kit, it's most likely that they will. Give them a call to see if they've got a new estimate for when it will arrive.

I dont wanna make this overseas call right now, because i live in germany. I just wrote them an email. But thanks for the info!

They can help you out - as I recall you can only order the sideplates and the case.

It's not a whole bodykit, because I think the mpc1000 bk has some different colored buttons too.

But they can tell you the price and the part-no. - then you can order it over thomann for example or your local musicshop.

I knew I should have put the 'go to' place in the US. And me a European living over here, I should know better.

After I requested at Thomann.de about the black case via Email they responded that they don't have "a solution for this problem". I think this means they don't have that kit

After an email Request at VST about world wide shipping, they replied as following:

"We can ship outside the U.S but it can be very costly especially for a larger package such as one containing the MPC1000 panels. The cost will probably be between $35-50 for insured shipping through the U.S. mail. Let me know if you're interested as we will have the black panel kits in stock next week."

Okay, for all those outside of the USA this thing will cost like 100 - 120 Dollars then... I don't think these 4 Parts are worth the high Price!

I am not to skilled with the canns - thats why i started makin' beats i dont wanna ruin my plate with a sloppy paintjob by myself...I know this can only suck big time I gotta think it over

I spoke with Nick from VST on Monday and he told me that Akai just received the black kits. so next week looks good, as long as Nukai don't sleep like $ean $hea.

i asked about if the buttons where in as well and this is the response i got it

Unfortunately not. I asked my Akai parts guy about that yesterday and he said he didn't even realize that there were different colored knobs on the black unit. He is looking into it immediately and hopefully we''l have those parts available soon.

I'm not surprised in the least. From personal experience, I would have to guess that this came from Rob Ray. He's as blind as a bat.

Yesterday I received an Email from the AKAI SUpport Germany. The employee said I should just ask my local Trusted AKAI seller for the Panel-Kit. It will cost about 75 Euros outta here...

And yep: Nyms Panel Painting looks nice....

PS: I got a crazy Vision::::: BLACK PLASTIC on the Sides AND CHROME FRONT AND UPPER PANEL with ICED-OUT MPC 1000 LOGO. Rest Black Letters... TIGHT (except for the bling bling) LOL
