Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I have a audiophile 2496, I want to record samples from my pc to my mpc. WHat cables do i need to record samples from pc? I dont have the 8 output board right now.

1/4" to RCA patch cables. line out of your pc to the record/line in of your MPC.

I got the cables. I Now have a new problem. When i go to playback the sample i dont hear anything, I get a hissing when i playback. Do i need to configure my audio program with my soundcard?

Ur soundcard doesn't have anything to do with ur mpc.... :roll:
If u hear the samples from ur pc, the soundcard is correctly installed.
the hissing could be becos u didn't use the record knob on the mpc???
Or maybe it's just the hissing BEFORE the sample starts.

And why sample ur samples from pc to mpc...? Just get a card reader and transfer thru cf cards/ zip/floppy whatever... for drums i can understand it (i do that to). But for samples just use a card of sum sort.... :lol:

This is a very very basic question so try the manual before posting pleas. :roll:
