Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i use the mpc 2000 xl and a turntable to sample.

i don't have a manual but i understand the basic's to an mpc.

i am in the middle of a beat that has a sample that is a loop.

i layed the drums down ,now i swiched my track and program to the sample.

i press the pad with the loop, then i wanted to press it again so i could have the sample studder like a dj scraching vinyl

my question is how do i get this to happen without hearing the whole sample

... like the title is saying... note off?? That's a very basic question, so u DON'T understand the basics of the mpc... (but everyone needs a start :lol: )
